As per the online travel companies, anytime between 22 October to 31 October, the airfare prices for direct return flight tickets to reach Kochi can cost you a humongous amount of ₹70,464 (a spike of 683%) per ticket. You need to pay ₹38,774 for a direct return ticket to Bagdogra (a spike of 331%).
Why Are The Prices Increasing?
The aforementioned destinations are major airports as these are the landing points for some massive tourist destinations. If you are travelling to Kerala, you will land in Kochi, Chandigarh for Himachal Pradesh, Dehradun airport for Uttarakhand, and land in Bagdogra to reach Darjeeling and Northeast.

This year, Diwali will be celebrated on 24 October, which is a Monday. So, tourists will surely take the advantage of this long weekend and pack their bags to jet off somewhere. The holiday period this Diwali will be quite elongated with the Labh Pancham on 29 October and Saatam on 31 October. Also, on the weekdays from 25 October to 28 October, many businesses take some off time. In conclusion, the timing is great for going on a long/short vacation.
