The Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway is notorious for being accident-prone. Recently, a driver shared a video where he narrowly missed a collision with another car on the expressway. The video shows that a car was standing stationary on the road and that too on the wrong side. The enraged man took to social media to appeal to the authorities to take action against the driver for such a callous and dangerous act.

A man recently shared a video of a close brush with an accident that he recently had. He took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared a video of him driving on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway. The video shows a red car standing stationary on the expressway.
If that wasn’t dangerous enough already, the video also shows that the car is facing in the wrong direction. This means that the car was driving in the wrong lane. An incredibly irresponsible thing to do, many lives were endangered.
An expressway is a dangerous place to stop a vehicle. Cars are plying at a high speed and controlling them can be tricky. It could easily lead to accidents and even fatalities. The driver shared the number of the car and urged authorities to take strict action against the driver.

The Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway is notorious for car accidents and is quite prone to them. It was found that between January 2023 and June 2023 alone, it witnessed a total of 296 accidents. These led to a whopping 132 fatalities.
That expressway is a joke. We had similar experience. People driving in opposite direction, bikes and other low speed luggage porters are going. Also people have broken the fence in many places and come running infront of the high speed car suddenly to cross the road. 🤦🏻♀️

The frequency of the accidents on the expressway led to it being named the ‘accident den.’ Speculations abound regarding the reason for such frequent accidents. Some suggest it is owing to waterlogging during the rainy season which makes the cars particularly prone to skidding.
