Drunk Woman Misbehaves With Crew On Del-Kol IndiGo Flight; Detained At Kolkata Airport

Flights have, recently, become a hotspot for weird incidents that include urinating, fighting and so on. An incident took place on an IndiGo flight where a woman was detained by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Apparently, the woman was intoxicated, and this might not be the first incident that includes a drunk passenger.

A female passenger was detained by members of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Kolkata’s Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. Apparently, she was charged with drinking alcohol and acting inappropriately towards other passengers. This incident took place on an IndiGo flight from New Delhi to Kolkata. The woman was turned over to the police on Thursday morning.

According to the reports, the passenger’s name is Paramjit Kaur and she was found in an inebriated state by the crew members and fellow passengers. She then began acting inappropriately towards other passengers.

The CISF officers stationed at Kolkata Airport were immediately contacted by airline executives. After the plane touched down at the airport at 1.10 a.m., the accused passenger was brought before CISF personnel.

She was held by the CISF at the airport till Thursday morning when she was ultimately turned over to the Bidhannagar City Police officers at the Airport Police Station at around 7 a.m. Since Indian law prohibits the police from taking a lady into custody after sunset, the CISF personnel were forced to wait until sunrise.

Not a while ago, a passenger travelling by an IndiGo flight had tried to open the emergency exit and tamper it. The flight officials had lodged a complaint against him under IPC section 336! A similar incident took place on a Delhi-Bengaluru flight where a drunk passenger tried opening the emergency exit.

There is a list of mid-air incidents that took place on flights that included intoxicated people. Some of them include fighting with other passengers, misbehaving with the crew and even urinating on others!

Though complaints have been filed against these passengers, it is important to take strict action against the offenders.
