Dubai Airshow is an ongoing event that’s happening till November 17 at the Dubai World Central. It should be noted that this event showcases 1,400 exhibitors from more than 148 countries, making it a highly important event in the aviation industry. So, here’s a glimpse of some of the important highlights from the Dubai Airshow that you might want to know.

Important Highlights From Dubai Airshow

1. Saudia & Riyadh Air Sign Strategic Cooperation MoU

During the ongoing event, the two Saudi Arabia-based airlines signed a strategic cooperation MoU! It’s worth mentioning that it includes codeshare flight, which signifies a major milestone moment in the nation’s aviation ecosystem. Moreover, the aim is also to offer a comprehensive range of benefits to passengers travelling globally to and from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,

2. Dubai Royals Visit The Event

On November 13, Dubai Royals visited the ongoing Dubai Airshow. His Highness, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai visited the show. As it happens, he was accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and
Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, the First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.

3. Dubai Police Reveals Smart Vehicle M02 & Helicopter AW139

His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, who is the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police visited the Dubai Airshow and inspected the self-driving smart vehicle, M02. It’s worth noting that it’s been developed by national talents in the Research and Development Department of Dubai Police. As such, the vehicle has been equipped with AI technologies, like facial recognition, license plate & suspect recognition, behavior-reading & analysis, motion detection, and the ability to identify & analyse suspected individuals.

As such, the display by the authority also included an Italian-made vertical aircraft, AW 139. This aircraft supports traffic, rescue, security, and critical transportation operations.

4. Archer Aviation Displays Full-Size eVTOL Aircraft

During the ongoing show, a full-sized eVTOL is displayed, giving a glimpse of the future. Not to mention it was displayed by the Archer Aviation, and the display was also attended by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai. As it happens, during the show, the CEO of the company also shared the company’s plans for air taxis in the UAe region. Called the Midnight aircraft, it has certainly been drawing several visitors to the show.

5. HH Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Visits Dubai Airshow

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is the President of the United Arab Emirates, visited the Dubai Airshow. As ithappens, he also graced EDGE’s HT-100 with his signature at the ongoing event! In fact, he was accompanied by his brother, Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He is the Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE.
