A wildly popular ‘bkry’ had Dubai’s foodies queuing for croissants like it was Black Friday in Paris. After taking over Alserkal Avenue with its next-level pastries, the bkry has now launched a summer-only pop-up at one of the city’s most iconic landmarks, the Museum of the Future. And trust us, it’s not just about desserts, it’s about rethinking how we eat, bake, farm and survive.
Food Meets Future At This One-Of-A-Kind Pop-Up By bkry At Museum of the Future
Let’s start with the big news. bkry has set up a shop inside the Museum of the Future, starting from July 11, and it will remain open for the entire summer. But this isn’t your typical “coffee and a cookie” kind of set-up. This one’s baked with intention, where every bite, every ingredient, every display screams innovation.
This whole experience sits beautifully at the intersection of food and the future. And where better to do that than inside a space dedicated to exploring the future possibilities? You can’t talk about progress without talking about how we eat and bkry gets that. So, they’ve brought along not just their cult favourite treats. But what’s new? It comes along a slice of their ethos: ingredient-first baking, sustainability, and zero-waste creativity.
Dive Into Activations That’ll Mess With Your Head (And Taste Buds)
While your eyes feast on MOTF’s surreal architecture, your taste buds will be dealing with a flavour explosion. And while your hands wrap around a cup of silky flat white, your brain might get busy unpacking new ideas around regenerative agriculture, upcycled food, and ethical farming.
Here’s a peek at the activations:
- Wildfarmed is revolutionising the flour industry, demonstrating how regenerative agriculture can transform the baking process from the ground up
- Saba Sanabel, the UAE’s first organic wheat farm, is representing local crops and proving that yes, good bread can come from our desert sands.
- The Waste Lab wants you to stop ditching banana peels and start transforming kitchen scraps into magic.
- And if that’s not enough to chew on, bkry’s very own Co-Founder, Kameel Rashid, will lead a chocolate masterclass that’ll school you on sourcing, ethics, and what real chocolate should taste like.
The Menu? As Iconic As The Museum Itself
Let’s not forget why most of us showed up in the first place: the food. And oh, it delivers. bkry is serving its full signature lineup of pastries, breads with real bite, all-day breakfasts that make you forget what time it is, zingy salads, soulful mains, and desserts that belong in a glass case under museum lights. All that, plus excellent speciality coffee and a few in-house beverage surprises. But here’s the twist: some goodies are exclusive to this pop-up. You won’t find these anywhere else in Dubai, not even their OG Alserkal outlet.
We’re talking:
- Spread the love (literally) with bkry’s dreamy milk chocolate jars, made from ethically sourced cocoa beans straight outta Tanzania, Ecuador, and Haiti.
- Now for the fun-sized showstoppers: bonbons. You’ve got lemon caramel, roasted sesame, spiced tea and croissant-white-chocolate.
