Covid-19 cases in the UAE are rising at an alarming rate! To ensure the safety of the citizens, the government is making sure that every resident takes precautions and abides by the rules. For those flouting the rules, the government is making sure to take strict actions against them. On the same, a restaurant in Dubai’s Blue Waters area was shut down for not adhering to Covid-19 precautionary measures, Dubai Economy announced on Sunday. The Restaurant Was Shut Down For Violating Covid-19 Rules
Dubai Economy, in cooperation with Dubai Tourism, shut down the restaurant for not adhering to the precautionary measures, especially social distancing. The action followed field inspections by the Commercial Compliance & Consumer Protection (CCCP) sector in Dubai Economy. It not only shut down the restaurant but also warned four shops in a mall for employees not wearing face masks. As many as 518 businesses were found compliant.

Dubai Economy Asks Citizen To Report Any Non-Compliance On Their Site
The move comes as a part of Dubai Economy’s measure to take actions against those who infringe COVID-19 precautionary guidelines. It further wants to remind that the shutdown period and the fines imposed on violating facilities will be doubled. It all depends on the nature of the violation.

Keeping the current scenario in mind, the authority wants people to understand the need to follow the safety protocols to protect public health and to ensure business continuity. Besides this, the Dubai Economy had also shut down a cafe on Friday for its failure to comply with the precautionary measures. Dubai Economy asks everyone to report any non-compliance through the Dubai Consumer app. The app is available on the Apple, Google, and Huawei stores.
