According to a report by the American firm that rents and leases housing, Dubai is on the top among the most popular places for long-term stays on Airbnb. A recent survey placed Dubai as the tenth best city worldwide for Airbnb stays. Since 2019, according to Airbnb, the app has seen a 33 per cent increase in the number of stays in the emirate, surpassing 28 days, attributes to the new flexible/remote working laws.
World’s Most Popular Destination By Airbnb
Here comes the good news! Dubai is at the top of Airbnb’s list of trendy long-term holiday locations for 2022. Dubai currently has 15,948 active Airbnb rentals. This correlation is supported by Airbnb’s trendy destinations report, which reveals that 1 in 5 individuals who book via the site workes remotely while travelling in 2017. However, these figures are expecting to rise in the coming years.
In addition to Dubai, the following cities also appeared: Lisbon, Glasgow, Cape Town, Los Angeles, and Seoul. According to Airbnb, British towns such as Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, and Liverpool are among the most desirable places for extended stays.

Not the First Time On Top
This is not the first time the booking site considers the emirate a potential destination. During the holiday season in the United Arab Emirates, the emirate was listed as the top destination on Airbnb. Bookings at historical attractions such as the Museum of the Future and Old Dubai got increase by 63%.
