1. Sheikh Hamdan Launches Dubai Farms Initiative

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai launched the Dubai Farms initiative. This is a strategic endeavour that aims to bolster the agricultural sector in Dubai. A comprehensive program, it will be run by the Dubai Municipality, which also marks a significant milestone. A testament to the authority’s dedication towards improving the quality of life for the people in the UAE, it also aligns with the Dubai Social Agenda 33.

2. Dubai Taxi Sector Clocks Substantial Growth In 2023

The Dubai Taxi Sector has seen substantial growth in 2023, as revealed by the Dubai RTA. By clocking 114 million trips, the lifting process was around 198.4 million passengers throughout the day. Not to mention, this is a big feat, as the annual trip count is the highest recorded in the last 15 years.

3. SeaWorld Abu Dhabi Collabs With GEMS Education

SeaWorld Abu Dhabi has collaborated with school operator GEMS Education. The purpose of this collaboration is to launch a community clean-up initiative, which features participation from 42 schools. Together, the aim is to raise awareness and reduce the impact of plastic pollution on marine life. Moreover, it also aims to educate public about the single-use plastic pollution!

4. Dates Revealed For Abu Dhabi Firefighter Challenge Championship 2024

Civil Defence Abu Dhabi recently announced that the Abu Dhabi Firefighter Challenge Championship 2024 will be happening this March. It is happening in cooperation with the 911 Challenge and will take place at the Sheikh Zayed Festival Square in Al Wathba. Regarded as the UAE’s largest gathering of firefighters, they will be taking part in the challenge that will be happening from March 5 to 7. Not to mention, it is an event that aims to recognise the efforts by firefighters and rescuers for protecting the communities.

5. Dubai Municipality Issues Tips & Tricks For Food Storage

Dubai Municipality recently mentioned tips and tricks for securing food storage. Yes, as the month of Ramadan approaches, people tend to stock up on food to save time and effort during the fasting days. So, to ensure that the food does not get spoilt, the Dubai Municipality has posted some cool tips. Some of these include keeping canned foods in dry foods in a cool and dry place away from the light and keeping dairy, eggs & refrigerated food in the fridge at four degrees Celsius.
