Christmas is here and it also brings with the delicious treats. Dubai’s bakeries are filled with the fragrance of moist plum cakes and crispy cookies, but here’s what caught our attention. The H Dubai, has made a very special treat this Christmas and it resembles an iconic landmark in the Dubai. Seen it yet?
What’s It?
Christmas is here and the H Dubai has taken the festive season to a whole new level. The famous Dubai hotel has recreated Sheikh Zayed Road entirely out of gingerbread and Belgian chocolate.
The mammoth task was planned in September and it took a team of 20 chefs to put the dessert together. The 8 metres treat took more than 900 hours to finish. The display features iconic structures like the World Trade Centre, RTA metro station (complete with metro train) and an delicious replica of the hotel, towering at a height of two metres.
In addition, the edible Sheikh Zayed road also features an impressive 60 kg Santa’s sleigh along with his reindeer. And unlike the real Sheikh Zayed road, the display is entirely drenched in snow, to give it a Christmas-y touch. There’s also fairy lights and a Santa carrying gifts- need anything more?
The display is placed in the entrance hall of H hotel, so if case you’re looking for something that will wow the kids, you know where to head!
