What’s It?

Dubai is loaded with restaurants, bakeries and cafes, but nothing can beat the happiness of tracing back an age-old gem, isn’t it? The Al Reef bakery in Dubai is one of the oldest bakeries in town. A favourite hangout of the old and the young, the best thing about the bakery (the yummy goodies aside) is its old-world look, brimming with character.

The iconic bakery is still famous for its Manakeesh, a traditional Lebanese bread which is loaded with a whole lot of toppings- including the city’s favourite Zaatar and cheese. The staff here, push the bread in and out of an antique oven and the fragrance of freshly baked Manakeesh makes your tongue salivate. The bakery happily retains its old world charm not just in its ambience, but with the pricing too. Manakeesh is priced from AED 6 onwards. No wonder, Al Reef has garnered loyal customers!
