Dubai Marathon To Start & Finish On Umm Suqeim Road
It was not too long ago that we announced the dates for the upcoming Dubai Marathon, which is going to be the 23rd edition. While the marathon is happening on January 7, 2024, the venue of the marathon has now also been announced. Yes, as it happens this edition will start and finish on Umm Suqeim Road. According to a report by the National News, there are three races that are going to be organised which include a 4 km fun run, a 10 km race, and a full 42.2 km marathon.
Happening under the aegis of the Dubai Sports Council, the organisers are expected to work closely with Dubai RTA, Dubai Municipality, and the Dubai Police. So, it is expected that the race will begin close to the Dubai Police Academy and the marathon will give participants a fantastic view of the Jumeirah Beach Road, Madinat Jumeirah, and the Burj Al Arab.

Registrations Are Already Open On Their Website
Since the event is going to happen six months before the Paris Olympics, it offers elite athletes to get the spotlights shining on them. While the bookings are already open on the website of the marathon, one must also use this time to train. As it happens, the registration fee for this marathon is AED150 AED85 and AED50 for the 42.2 km marathon, 10 km race, and 4 km fun run. This is also a huge event because the marathon is returning to Dubai after a long gap! Yes, it was last held in January 2020 and now, it’s finally making its way back just before the Paris Olympics, making it an excellent opportunity for athletes to get noticed.
