Dubai’s iconic Trade Centre Roundabout is undergoing a dramatic transformation, thanks to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). As part of the emirate’s mission to streamline urban mobility, the roundabout will soon trade its old-school charm for sleek infrastructure upgrades. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum gave the green light for this ambitious project, and the results promise to make driving through Dubai a breeze.

Say goodbye to frustrating gridlocks and hello to smooth traffic flow! The development project will replace the existing roundabout with five state-of-the-art bridges spanning a total of 5,000 metres. Once completed, these changes will double the intersection’s traffic capacity. The RTA aims to reduce travel delays from a sluggish 12 minutes to just 90 seconds! Yes, you read that right!
The journey from Sheikh Zayed Road to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street will take only one minute, compared to the previous six-minute crawl. This improvement doesn’t just benefit regular commuters, it also ensures easy access to key areas like Al Majles Street, Al Mustaqbal Street, Dubai World Trade Centre and Dubai International Financial Centre. Traffic will flow freely from 2nd December Street (covering Jumeirah and Al Satwa) without the usual stop-and-go drama.
