Dubai RTA Announces Changes In Several Bus Routes & Here’s All You Need To Know

The Dubai Roads & Transport Authority recently took to its official account on X to announce that it has made several changes to bus routes in Dubai. The reason behind this has been attributed to the fact that it aims to ease the daily mobility of riders and enable a smoother and more hassle-free journey.

Several Changes Made To Bus Routes In Dubai

According to the Dubai Media Office, the Dubai Roads & Transport Authority recently made a bunch of changes to the bus routes in Dubai. Not to mention, these changes also involved renaming and restructuring certain routes. In case you are wondering, some major changes have been introduced to Route 11A, as now it will be replaced by Routes 16A and 16B. Moreover, Route 16A will run between the Residency and Foreigners Affairs Department, Al Awir Branch and the Gold Souq Bus Station. Additionally, Route 16B will be covering the return journey from the GoldSouq Bus Station to the Residency and Foreigners Affairs Department, Al Awir Branch.

Routes 20 & 367 Replaced

As it happens, Route 20 has also been replaced. Yes, it’s been replaced by Routes 20A and 20B, wherein route 20A is going to ply between Al Nahda Bus Stop and Warsan 3 Bus Stop. Moreover, Route 20B will be serving as the return journey between the two destinations. As such, Route 367 will also be replaced by Route 36A and 36B! Therein, Route 36A will start from the Silicon Oasis High Bay Bus Stop and it will go onto the Etisalat Bus Station. It’s worth noting that route 36B will be running in the return direction from Etisalat Bus Station.

Changes On Other Routes As Well

In case you were wondering, these measures have been introduced to streamline the daily movement of riders. Moreover, several other modifications have also been introduced to certain bus routes. These include Route 21 as it will no longer serve the Onpassive Metro Station. Additionally, Route 24 is also going to be shortened to terminate at the Dubai Festival City. Moreover, Route 53 will also be extended towards the International City Bus Station, while the Route F17 will now be reduced to begin at the Onpassive Metro Station. As such, Route F19A and F19B will also be shortened to pass through the Business Bay Metro Bus Stop South 2 and Route H04 will also be diverted to pass through the Hatta Souq. It should be noted that these changes have been intended to reduce travel time and ensure a faster arrival for the users of public transport.a

Journey Time For 33 Bus Routes To Be Enhanced

However, besides the aforementioned routes, several other changes have also been made. Yes, several bus routes have now been shifted! These include Routes 10, 21, 27, 83, 91A, 95, 32C, X92, X28, 88, and X94. They have been shifted from the location of Metro Max Bus Stop to Metro Max Stop 2 with the service road now being reduced to walking distance to the buses. While Routes 29, 61 and C26 on the location of Metro Max Stop have also been shifted to Al Jaffiliya Bus Station. The journey time for 33 bus routes are expected to be enhanced, these include the following – 5, 15, 21, 24, 28, 31, 34, 44, 50, E102, F01, F15, F26, F17, F19A, 96, C04, C28, F19B, F24, F30, F31, F41, F48, F53, 51, 53, 61, 64, 95A, F54, F81, and H04.

So, with the aim of expanding and integrating the public bus network with other transport modes like metro and tram, these changes have been made. So, if you are someone who uses public transport on a regular basis, you might want to keep these changes in mind.
