Dubai now has its own Walk of Fame- bigger and better than the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Emaar, today officially announced the opening of ‘The Dubai Stars’, a walkable, star-studded attraction in Downtown Dubai. The stellar event was graced by celebrities who were already awarded a Dubai Star during the first phase of the launch. Upon completion, the venue will celebrate over 10,000 famous personalities from the worlds of music, film, art, architecture, sports and literature.
What’s It?
A walkable tribute to stars and influencers from all over the world, the Walk of Fame includes over 400 personalities and influencers from the field of art, film, music, sports, literature and architecture.
The milestone event was graced by celebrities and influencers from across the globe including:
1. Painter, photographer and sculptor Mattar Bin Lahej
2. Former Al-Hilal footballer Yasser Saeed Al-Qahtani
3. Comedian, actor, film producer, television presenter, and a renowned television personality Ahmed Helmy
4. Film actress Sonam Kapoor Ahuja
5. Singer Balqees Fathi
6. Playback singer, music composer and actor Muhammad Atif Aslam
7. Actress Mona Zaki
8. Internet star Khalid Al Ameri
Speaking about the iconic venue, Shymaa Binbrek, General Manager, Downtown Dubai, said, “In a city that has embraced the idea of multiculturalism, we take pride in implementing an initiative that will resonate with the local expatriate population and tourists visiting the emirate. What Else?
Lebanese designer Elie Saab was the first celebrity to take home the prestigious Walk of fame. He has now collaborated with Emaar to design the interiors for ‘Emaar Beachfront’. Besides, Lionel Messi, MS Dhoni, Shahrukh Khan, K-Pop sensation BTS, Abdul Majeed Abdullah, and Kahlil Gibran are the other biggies who have already bagged Dubai’s Walk of Fame.
