American Restaurants, which operates Pizza Hut, Hardees, and KFC throughout the Middle East and North Africa, has partnered with Miso Robotics to introduce robot arms and machine workers into the kitchen. Miso Robotics, a robotics firm, will test its artificial intelligence and machine learning-based robotic arm dubbed Flippy 2 at the Wimpy restaurant in Dubai Mall.

Flippy 2 by Miso Robotics never gets weary, can labour nonstop, and will never sweat into the food it cooks. The agreement’s testing phase is essentially the first step. In the next months, there will also be expansions in other American restaurants.
Flippy 2, a customisable robot, can automate various culinary activities in fast-food businesses. Because it combines AI vision and machine learning, Flippy 2 can assist create a more productive work environment by working on a complete fry station by itself.
Wimpy’s brand director, Melvin Michael, said the decision would help the restaurant stay current with market trends. ‘The relationship between Americana Restaurants and Miso Robotics is a key milestone for the firm,’ he added.
