Dubai Tourists Receive Free Global Village Tickets From GDRFA; Details Inside

Picture this: you step off the plane in Dubai, still battling airplane hair, and boom—someone hands you free tickets to Global Village. No, it’s not a prank. Dubai’s Global Village rolled out the red carpet for tourists with a surprise.

Dubai Surprises Tourists With Global Village Passes

Tourists arriving at Dubai International Airport or crossing the Hatta border are getting complimentary tickets to Global Village as part of a warm, cultural welcome. This joyful gesture is thanks to a partnership between the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) and Global Village itself. It’s their way of saying, “Welcome, now go have a blast.”

What’s This All About?

This isn’t just a random act of kindness—it’s tied to the UAE’s Year of Community. The initiative champions inclusion, cultural connection, and togetherness. GDRFA wants to give travellers more than just a passport stamp. They’re handing out memories and a taste of Dubai’s colourful, chaotic, and charming vibe.

With Global Village’s 29th season wrapping up on Sunday, May 11, the timing couldn’t be better. Think of it as Dubai’s version of a goodbye party—only you get in for free, and the rides are way cooler.

Never Been to Global Village? You’re In For A Ride

If you’ve never been, here’s the lowdown. Global Village is not just another touristy stop. It’s a mash-up of 90 cultures across 30 themed pavilions, dozens of daily performances, and enough street food to feed a small army (or a very hungry family). It’s where you shop for handmade Turkish lamps, eat Thai street food, and watch Bollywood dancers—all within the same hour.

The ticket normally costs Dhs25, but Dubai’s feeling generous. Even better? Kids under 12 now get in for free until the end of the season. Oh, and it’s always been free for children under three, seniors, and people of determination. So yes, it’s truly a people-first party.

So, What’s the Catch?

No catch—just act fast. Tickets are being handed out on arrival while stocks last, so don’t dilly-dally. If you’re planning to visit, get yourself to Global Village before May 11, because after that, the park closes for summer. And trust us, you don’t want to miss the final weeks of fireworks, shows, and international funfair vibes.

Pack light, land right, and don’t forget to ride the giant swing.
