1. Dubai RTA Signs AED1.1 Bn

636 new buses will soon be introduced to Dubai. Yes, for this, the Dubai RTA has signed an AED1.1 billion deal, which aims to enhance the well-being of the people. Boasting the Emirate’s global competitiveness as a hub for international events, the aim is to achieve the Dubai Urban Plan 2040 targets.

2. Dubai World Cup Dates Announced

Dubai Racing Club has announced that the newest edition of the Dubai World Cup will be taking place on Saturday, April 5, 2025. This will mark the grand finale of the extended 16-meeting carnival where you can find your favourite players racing on horseback for prestigious titles and prize money. The Dubai Race Carnival begins on November 8, 2024, and it’s bound to be an event to remember

3. Summer Without Accidents Campaign In Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Mobility recently revealed that an awareness campaign called Summer Without Accidents was carried out for heavy vehicle drivers. This happened at Khalifa Port under the umbrella of the Joint Committee for Traffic Safety in Abu Dhabi. The aim of the campaign was to increase the number of drivers and regarding the importance of ensuring vehicle safety. Not to mention, it was also to make them aware of the importance of driving safely on the roads, highlighting how dangerous it can be to overload and adhere to traffic rules and regulations.

4. Emerging Artists From UAE Showcasing In India

Abu Dhabi Art is currently showcasing some of the most talented emerging artists from the UAE at the ongoing art festival in India till August 18, 2024. Presenting the 2023 Beyond Emerging Artists and Gateway: Maqam exhibition in Kochi, this marks the inaugural international showing of Gateway: Maqam. For those who are aware, this is a survey show of work by the artist Hashel Al Lamki, which has been curated by Dr Venetia Porter. This is in partnership with Rizq Art Initiative, which is a cultural space in Abu Dhabi offering a global platform for emerging regional artists.

5. Space Camp At Louvre Abu Dhabi

Louvre Abu Dhabi in partnership with Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre and the ATRC has organised a space camp that’s happening till July 26. The camp offers a simulated space experience, which includes activities in arts, science, and technology. This experience is for children aged between the years 8 and 12 who aspire to become astronauts. If your child also has similar interests, you might want to sign them up for this!
