Hatta has finally reopened for its eighth season, as revealed by the Gulf News, and this mountainous getaway invites visitors to reconnect with nature. From vintage camps laid out under the stars to the right blend of tradition added into the mix, it truly makes for an unforgettable escape in the lap of the Hajar Mountains.

What sets it apart from other destinations is the fact that it’s truly a playground for adventure seekers. There’s a Mountain Bike Trail Centre that offers dedicated trails for people of different skill sets. It takes them across farmlands, rocky hills, and even natural pools. There is even something called Hatta Wadi Hub, where you can find outdoor zorbing, which is the only one in the region.

Besides thrill-seeking activities, you also get to enjoy fun-filled ones, such as axe-throwing, wall-climbing, and slides at Hata Drop-In. There is also an aerial park with zipline courses that are perfect for people who wish to partake in exhilarating activities. In fact, now it’s also home to the sand equestrian track, which was recently inaugurated. This is the first phase, which stretches about 2.54 km in length and 3 m in width, and was recently inaugurated.

All of these brilliant activities are set against a stunning scenery that begins with a scenic drive to the Hatta Dam Viewpoint. As you take in the pristine deep blue lake, you will also want to visit the Hatta Heritage Village, which is one of the oldest preserved areas in the country. In fact, there is also the Hatta Hill Park that’s just around the corner with a tower situated at the highest point offering a panoramic view of the surrounding areas.
