Artist Daniel Ashram Opens A Restaurant In Dubai With Coffee, Art & Limited-Edition Desserts!

Dubai Mall has a new dining destination which is more than just food. Launched by the renowned artist Daniel Ashram, Daniel’s Room brings a different game to the culinary scene of Dubai. After years in development, he officially opened his long-awaited space in Fashion Avenue, Level 2. You’ll witness contemporary art, design, and dining under one carefully controlled roof at Daniel’s Room.

It’s more than a themed restaurant. Consider this as a lived-in artwork you can sit inside and eat.

According to a report by Grail, along with coverage from other international art and design publications, Daniel’s Room has been quietly in the works for years. Arsham is treating the project less like a hospitality venture and more like a permanent installation.

Part Art Space, Part Café

Daniel’s Room sits comfortably between categories. It functions as a café, yes, but it also operates as a cultural destination where food, objects, and space blend.

Arsham’s creative language runs through every detail. Known for blurring the line between fine art, architecture, and everyday objects, the artist has personally designed the entire environment. From aesthetic pieces of furniture to lighting, tableware, he put his focus on every element that now sits proudly in the restaurant.

Collectables You Can’t Buy Anywhere Else

One of the strongest draws is Daniel’s Room, featuring limited-edition books, collectable objects, and custom-designed tableware. All these are created exclusively for the space and aren’t available online or in galleries elsewhere.

The retail element never overwhelms the room; instead sits quietly in the restaurant.

An Art-Driven Café, Not A Formal Restaurant

The food offering follows the same philosophy as they don’t function as a full-service restaurant with long dinner menus or elaborate plating. Daniel’s Room focuses on speciality coffee, pastries, cakes, and light bites, developed and tested over months.

Everything feels considered but relaxed. You can come for a coffee and stay for an hour or more.
