If you’re staying in Dubai for Eid Al Adha and wondering where the festive buzz will actually feel festive, Global Village is going all in this year. From illuminated walkways and live shows to food stalls packed with every possible craving, the destination is getting a full Eid makeover once the gates open at 5 pm.
Eid At Global Village Means Lights, Food, Shopping And Live Shows

The place is expected to stay busy throughout the holiday period. Families, tourists, groups of friends, tired parents bribing kids with snacks and pretty much everyone.
For many families, it’s the smaller details that make outings memorable. Global Village seems to know that.
During the first three days of Eid, 100 children will receive special Eid gifts. It’s limited, obviously, so there’ll probably be a bit of excitement around that. Maybe a little chaos, too. Also, the entire venue is being decorated with glowing displays and festive installations inspired by the occasion. Walkways, gathering spots and open areas are expected to look very different from the regular setup visitors are used to.
There’s A Live Game Show Happening On Stage
One thing that’s likely to pull crowds is the Al Mandoos live game show taking place on the Main Stage on May 27 and 28 at 9 pm.
Hosted by Abdulla Esmaeel, the show will include audience games, interactive segments and entertainment that feels more casual and family-focused than formal stage performances.
Global Village says live performances and cultural shows will continue across different parts of the destination during Eid, with rotating acts throughout the evening. So even people casually walking around will probably stumble onto something interesting without planning for it.
Food Might End Up Being The Main Event
There are more than 250 dining options across the destination during Eid. Which sounds slightly dangerous for anyone trying to “just grab one snack”.
Visitors can sit down for proper meals at Restaurant Plaza or wander through spots like the Floating Market, Happiness Street and Fiesta Street, picking up random dishes along the way.
And that’s usually how it goes. You go in thinking you’ll shop first, then suddenly you’re carrying desserts from three countries and looking for somewhere to sit.

Shopping During Eid Feels Different Here
Shopping is still a huge part of the experience.
With pavilions representing more than 90 cultures, visitors can browse clothing, handmade décor, beauty products, gifts and home items from around the world. Some people go looking for Eid outfits. Others just wander until something catches their eye.
