Dubai is moving closer to its commitment to launch a taxi service in 2026. Yes, it was mentioned in a report of Dubai Media Office, which quoted Mattar Al Tayer. He is the Director General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA. He mentioned how it’s steadily progressing towards the commercial launch. 4. UAE Schools Shorten Hours
Several schools across the UAE have mentioned in a report of Gulf News have announced a temporary adjustment to their school day schedule. This is going to be in place from November 17th – 19th. The shorter hours have been introduced as students prepare for the first term final exams.
5. 15,000 Expat Violators Deported In A Week From Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia recently revealed in its Gulf News report how 14,916 expats have been deported in a single week. This has come as part of the nationwide campaign, which targets residency, labour, and border violators. Additionally, the Ministry of Interior has also warned that anyone who arrests illegal migrants by transporting, housing, or providing services can face up to 15 years in prison and even fines of up to SAR1 million. Additionally, their vehicles or property used in such activity can also be confiscated.
