As everybody steps out on the streets to indulge in the Eid Al-Etihad celebrations that take over the streets of the nation, there are guidelines in place to ensure that the holiday is both safe and enjoyable. Yes, the Ministry of Interior has released its set of guidelines that ensures people can celebrate the holiday safely without endangering other people.
A Look At The Guidelines By The Authorities
As it happens, there are certain things that have been banned by the authorities. Here’s a series of restrictions that residents have been cautioned against:
- Participating in a parade or forming an unauthorised gathering
- Blocking traffic or obstructing public roads in any way
- Partaking in stunt driving
- Hanging out of the windows or sunroof
- Overloading vehicles
- Concealing the license plate or covering windows
- Making unauthorised modifications or creating excessive noise
- Wearing scarves that are unrelated to the Eid al-Etihad occasion
- Raising flags other than the UAE flag
- Using spray paint on vehicles
- Playing loud music. However, Eid al-Etihad-related tunes are an exception.

How Can You Celebrate?
However, the residents are allowed to showcase national pride in a safe and sanctioned manner.
They can do so by using official Eid al-Etihad stickers on the vehicle.
Raise the UAE flag to commemorate the occasion.
As a result, the authorities have reiterated that vehicles that violate these guidelines will face stringent consequences and can even be impounded or fined heavily. So, make sure to celebrate Eid Al Etihad with your family and friends, but in a safe and responsible manner.
