Dubai’s Deira District To Undergo Renovation

The next time you head to Deira City Centre, you’ll spot something new and exciting. Deira’s several markets and souks undergo renovation. The plan of revival is a part of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s directive to conserve the area’s architecture. Numerous futuristic accents have been indeed introduced in the system, which aims to improve Dubai’s cultural character. The old character of the district will spruce up a little to enhance its identity.

Traditional Markets Get A Makeover

Over 220 buildings seem refurbished, with their exteriors reconstructed to enhance the market’s aesthetic appeal and historical relevance. Elements such as coral stone, gypsum, and wood were all utilised in the restoration. The native trees from the area were specifically planted, resulting in a sustainable approach. Building the Al Souq Al Khabeer information centre, well-placed signboards, and authentic lounge spaces freshening up everything from the mattress market to the herbs souq is part of this.
