Early Morning Trains Heading To Bengaluru From Mysuru Stranded For More Than 2 Hours; Here’s Why

It has been a horrible experience for many passengers who travelled between Bengaluru and Mysuru on Tuesday early morning. Some trains were stranded at different points and were delayed for a couple of hours. These express and passenger trains were mostly stranded on the Mysuru-Bengaluru route for more than 2 hours, leaving passengers frustrated and angry.

These Trains To Bengaluru Were Stranded In Between Their Journeys

Some trains had to wait for hours between Mandya and Mysuru stations, according to a report by Star Of Mysore. Chamundi Express and Vishwamanava Express from Mysuru faced this miserable experience even after departing from the railway station early in the morning at the proper time.

  • The Chamundi Express began its journey from Mysuru at 6:45 AM. It got stranded at the Naganahalli station.
  • The Vishwamanava Express departed from the Mysuru railway station at 5:50 AM. After reaching the outer part of the Mandya station, it had to wait for more than 2 hours.
  • A passenger train departing at 6:10 AM from Mysuru station had to pause its journey at Srirangapatna.
  • Kaveri Express was also stranded at the Pandavapura station. This train began its journey from Chennai.

Passengers on these trains to Bengaluru got exhausted by this delay soon after they began their journey from Mysuru. In fact, some of them squabbled with the railway staff.

This Is The Reason For Such Delays

Some construction work on the underbridge is going on close to the Mahaveer Circle Railway Gate in Mandya. In regard to this underbridge project, the Railways have already issued a notice stating that there might be some delays in the trains passing on this route because of the project. According to the issued notification, construction was supposed to be over by 5:30 AM on Monday morning but plans saw a small change. The work took further time on Monday morning and trains had to take a pause in between their journeys on this route.

Though Railways extended the time to complete the work, they lifted the train halts after 9 AM. All the trains travelling between Mysuru and Bengaluru resumed their destinations following this.
