Eatery Describes Dosa As Full Stop Made Big On A Pan; Here Are More Funny Boards We Came Across

Indian eateries and restaurants often provide hysterical memes without even realising it. Be it some silly spelling mistakes on the signboards or adding their depiction of famous Indian food, some boards outside shops are nothing but the most hilarious. After ‘Girl Sandwiches’ and ‘Veg Moms and Cheken Moms’, we just found a shop giving a unique meaning to our favourite dosa. The comparison between a dosa and a full stop is making us go ROFL and you will start laughing too after reading the board.

Taking to Instagram stories, Varun Agarwal (@varun760) shared a picture of a signboard placed outside a local restaurant named ‘Dosa Corner’. It is just like any other eatery or restaurant adding a board for publicity and welcoming guests. Adding basic information such as name, menu, and timing, the board is just like any other board. But what caught our attention about Dosa Corner’s signboard is its description of dosa— “Dosa is nothing but a full stop made big on a non stick pan”.

We cannot stop laughing reading the uproarious definition of this beloved South Indian dish. If we visualise the process of cooking a dosa on a pan, the description is quite apt. Cooks put some dosa batter in the centre of the pan and then spread it all over in a circular shape. The cooking method begins with adding batter in the shape of a full stop and then making it bigger and bigger on the pan greased with oil.

If you are finding this signboard of Dosa Corner humorous, we have some more such boards to share with you. Indian eateries’ signboards are surely gems for making hilarious memes and we came across many such meme materials in the past while scrolling different social media platforms. From some weird and unusual logos to downright rib-tickling typos on the menu, here are some signboards that have grabbed our eyeballs in the past.

Hysterical Boards We Found Earlier On The Internet

Sumita Pahwa (@SumitaPahwa) took to the X (formerly Twitter) platform to share a glimpse of a local eatery’s menu.

While the intention is to serve delicious grilled sandwiches to customers, the eatery misspelt the primary word on the menu and changed ‘Grill’ to ‘Girl’. The menu has an extensive list of ‘Girl Sandwich’ from ‘Veg. Girl’ to ‘Veg. Cheese Girl’, ‘Italian Cheese Sandwich’, ‘Paneer Cheese Girl’, ‘Mashroom Cheese Girl’, and even something called ‘Spe. Fresh Vandana’. The viral menu and its spelling mistakes left Netizens wondering about the girl sandwiches and who is the ‘vandana’ mentioned there.

🥭 🐭 (@uDasKapital) shared a picture of a Noida guy apologising to his girlfriend.

The guy added a huge hoarding mentioning, “I AM SORRY SANJU… I Will Never Ever Hurt You Again…YOUR SUSH”. A very grand gesture, right?

Folks of Hyderabad know about the famous Bade Miyan Kababs and its kebabs. This restaurant grabbed everyone’s attention quite some months back for serving ‘Pathar Ke Kabab’. While everyone was wondering if it was a typo, the actual reason was preparing the kebabs on a unique stone.
