Emirates A380 Aircraft Grounded In France After Wing Gets Damaged

While it’s a scary thought that an aircraft can suffer damage during its flight, it’s reassuring to know that it’s not something that happens frequently. However, as infrequent as it can be, it does make flying an intimidating experience. And something similar has happened to an Emirates aircraft. Yes, it seems that some damage has been sustained by the aircraft during its flight, and so it has been grounded in France. Here’s what to know about this so far!

Emirates Plane Grounded In France After Damage

An Emirates plane was recently grounded in France according to a report by the National News. The report mentions that this was done as the aeroplane had suffered some damage to the right wing. While previously there were just speculations regarding the same on the internet, this was later confirmed by the airline. Yes, it was revealed that damage has happened to the wing of an A380 aircraft and it was discovered by engineers at the Nice Airport on Friday, August 18 by the engineers. At this point, it should be noted that the aircraft for flight EK77 landed normally with the crew and the passengers disembarking safely.

The Wing Of The A380 Aircraft Suffered Some Damage

It’s worth mentioning that the aircraft is currently to remain until ground, as it will undergo further inspections. While the cause of the damage is not yet known, it is still being investigated by the French Aviation Authorities. This is, however, not the first time a plane has been damaged during flights, while it is infrequent, it does happen sometimes. Previously, in June 2022, another Emirates aircraft that was headed to Brisbane suffered a tyre bust and blew a hole in its outer skin. After this, it did however land safely. And more recently, a flydubai flight had also been affected after a bird strike during takeoff in Nepal.

Coming back to this aircraft, it is still being determined and standard procedures are being carried out to do you know if this aircraft is safe for continuing to fly or not.
