Taking to X, Emirates announced that it has launched its flights on two new routes via Bangkok. Yes, this includes Da Nang in Vietnam and Siem Reap in Cambodia. As a result, Emirates is servicing 23 points in East Asia, thereby expanding its footprint.
2. Man On Abu Dhabi-Bound Flight Faces Penalty
A 22-year-old man in Singapore, who had made a bomb threat on an Abu Dhabi-bound flight, is going to be charged today. He faces seven years in prison and up to AED1,83,500 in fine. He had allegedly made a post on February 14, 202,5 on social media after boarding the flight from Singapore. The said aircraft, which was already taxing on the runway and was about to take off at the time, was called back to Terminal 2 of Changi Airport. The man was later arrested!
3. 1.5 Million Pilgrims Begin Their Hajj
On Wednesday, June 4, 1.5 million pilgrims converged on Mina. This marks the official beginning of the annual pilgrimage of Hajj. As the pilgrims ascended into the tent city, it was flawlessly completed with a perfect organisational plan.

4. Dubai Municipality Designates Public Beaches For Families

Keeping Eid al-Adha holidays in mind, the Dubai Municipality has designated four public beaches exclusively for families. These include the beaches in Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3, Umm Suqeim 1, and Umm Suqeim 2. It’s worth noting that all of these beaches are managed and operated by the Dubai Municipality.
5. Saudi Authorities Inspect The Shaded Area In Arafat
The Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee visited the shading project site at Arafat. He inspected the shades that have been designed to reduce heat stress and have been developed to the highest technical standards. This comes at a time when millions have converged on Mina, marking the official beginning of this pilgrimage.
