As people continue to travel internationally, there are some who are visiting their home country. There are others who are making the most out of their summer break to explore a new country and its rich culture. According to the analysis by Emirates, it has revealed that summer travel searches have climbed by 7% compared to the previous year. Here’s more about the latest analysis of the global booking data as revealed by the Dubai-based airline.
Emirates Reveals Travel Trend For Summer
As revealed by Emirates, there has also been a remarkable increase in the outbound travel searches. France has been at the top with a 35% increase in such type of search. This country is followed by Ireland, Canada, and Saudi Arabia as people plan their vacation itinerary. Not just these countries, but Germany and the United Arab Emirates are also seeing a high interest amongst travellers.
A Rise In Searches For Vietnam
However, according to the trend, Vietnam has emerged as a trending destination for summer. With a 61% leap in interest for the country, it has become a top destination, as seen in an uptick in the booking demand. In case you’re wondering, Emirates flies to Vietnam 25 times weekly with flights to Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi, and Da Nang (via Bangkok). In fact, the flight times seamlessly connect to and from major European destinations, and even American cities. A country that’s known for its UNESCO World Heritage treasures, 3000 km of untouched coastline, truly makes it the perfect summer getaway.

Not just Vietnam, Mauritius also seems to be charming travellers. The number of flight searches has risen by 41% and it is the second most trending destination for the summer. The airline revealed that Sri Lanka has also seen a 32% increase in searches for its pristine beaches and rich culture. Japan also continues to rule the minds, with 28% flight searches. As it happens, the airline flies 21 weekly flights to the cities of Tokyo Narita, Tokyo Haneda, and Osaka.

Search For Flights For The UAE
As it happens, there has been a 13% rise in the overall flight searches in the UAE. Moreover, the airline has seen a year-on-year increase in searches for several destinations. These include Sri Lanka, France, India, Jordan, Lebanon, and Morocco. Additionally, there is also an increased focus on African points, for countries like Egypt, Kenya, and South Africa. In the same with its worth mentioning that UK travellers are searching more for far-flung destinations. Yes, 12% of such searches are for destinations like Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and Mauritius. While Indian travellers have been busy searching for flights to Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland.
