Etihad Airways recently launched regular flights to Lisbon. The airlines will provide regular flight services between Abu Dhabi and Lisbon. On Sunday, the airlines celebrated the inaugural flight to the Portuguese capital of Lisbon. On Sunday, Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways landed for the first time in Lisbon. This marked the airline’s launch of regular services between the Emirate and the Portuguese capital.
The new service to Lisbon will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. The service will use Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with 28 Business seats and 262 Economy seats.

Before take-off, the Ambassador of the Republic of Portugal to the UAE, ,Chris Hedlin, Etihad’s Vice President Network Planning, and Fernando d’Orey de Brito e Cunha Figueirinhas celebrated the inaugural flight, EY63.
The Lisbon flight was originally intended to be seasonal, but due to high demand, Etihad changed its plans and extended it to the winter season, making it a year-round service.

To commemorate the new air link, Etihad’s captains waved UAE and Portuguese flags from the cockpit upon arrival in Lisbon.
The inaugural flight to Lisbon concurs with the beginning of Etihad’s summer season flights. These flights will fly to Mykonos, Greece, on June 16 as well as Málaga, Spain, on June 18.
CEO of Etihad Airways, Antonoaldo Neves, said that they were thrilled to fly to Lisbon for the first time as they continue to expand their network globally. They are looking forward to connecting people with the historic city of Lisbon and also with the Portuguese people in Asia, the Middle East, and Australia.
