Etihad Airways is known for offering stellar services to flyers. A preferred choice for many travellers, the home base of this airline is in Abu Dhabi. And now, the airline plans to add A380 Airbus to its route between Abu Dhabi and Jeddah. If you also wish to travel via this aircraft to the Saudi city, here is everything you need to know about this development.

Etihad Airways has revealed its plans to add the A380 Airbus to its route between Abu Dhabi and Jeddah. These flights will be added for the months of October and September and flights are already bookable. It’s worth noting that Jeddah will be the shortest double-decker service. And it will be the world’s fifth shortest route by this type of airline in two months.

In case you’re wondering, the double-decker aircraft that can seat 486 people at a time will be flying on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

What About The Flight Schedule?

The flights will be scheduled between September 1 and October 26 and the schedule is as follows:

Abu Dhabi to Jeddah will be by EY311 taking off at 2:45 PM and landing at 4:10 PM. On the floor flights from Jeddah will be via flight number EY312. Yes, and it will be taking off at 6:40 PM and landing at 10:25 PM. It’s worth mentioning that all of these timings are according to the local time.

It should be noted that Etihad Airways already operates the aircraft on some routes. The aircraft can seat 405 people in the Economy and 70 people in the business, nine in the first and there are 2 three-room residence suites. Yes, currently the airline flies (or will begin flying) to the cities of London Heathrow, New York JFK, and Paris CDG.
