On the latest episode of Sunday Brunch with Kamiya Jani, Ekta and Tusshar Kapoor got talking about their childhood, and things took a hilarious turn when Ekta revealed just how possessive she was of her superstar father. From refusing to watch him romance other actresses to admitting that she would actually attack women who got too close to him, Ekta’s childhood stories had Tusshar in splits.
Ekta Kapoor Had A Problem With Her Dad Romancing Other Actresses
Forget getting jealous of your dad’s new friends. Little Ekta Kapoor had a problem with him romancing women on screen! The filmmaker revealed that she was extremely possessive of Jeetendra Ji and could not stand watching him perform romantic scenes with other actresses. Given that her father was a leading man who spent much of his career romancing heroines, that must have made movie nights quite an adventure.
But there was a loophole in Ekta’s very strict rulebook: Sridevi. Tusshar Kapoor pointed out that his sister never minded when their father romanced the legendary actress because she was Ekta’s favourite. Ekta agreed, making it clear that Sridevi had a special place in her heart. Apparently, even childhood jealousy had its exceptions!

‘I Would Attack Them,’ Says Ekta Kapoor
Kamiya Jani, our Editor-in-Chief, then pointed out the obvious problem with being Jeetendra’s daughter. The actor’s profession meant he had to romance several women, while his fame brought plenty of fangirls into the picture. So, how did she react when women approached her father?
Her answer was wonderfully blunt: “I would attack them!” Tusshar Kapoor burst into laughter as the conversation turned to one particularly memorable incident.
Ekta Kapoor recalled being in Africa with her father when a woman approached Jeetendra Kapoor at an airport and kissed him on the cheek. For most people, this might have been an awkward little celebrity encounter. For Ekta, it was apparently grounds for immediate intervention.
Some children compete with their siblings for their parents’ attention. Ekta Kapoor, meanwhile, was apparently ready to take on an entire fan club. So, she took off her shoes and ran after her, livid and ready to throw hands!
