Sameera Reddy On Things She Learnt In Goa
In an upcoming episode of Tere Gully Mein, Sameera Reddy revealed that living in Goa has completely changed the way she experiences the coastal state, taking her far beyond its beaches and tourist hotspots. In the episode, she shared how moving there helped her discover Goa’s rich culture, traditions and local way of life.
Sameera revealed that currently she is learning about sustainable living, including composting, and has developed a deep respect for the local community. “I am literally learning composting.” She also spoke about all the things she learned after she started living in Goa, especially its beautiful temples. She said that the temples introduced her to a side of the state that many visitors often miss.

Sameera Reddy Loves Goa’s Fish Market
To showcase the “real Goa”, the first place Sameera took us was the famous Mapusa Fish Market. Calling it one of the best fish markets in the state, she pointed out the variety of fresh local seafood available there, including the prized sonak fish. She even mentioned being corrected by locals after initially pronouncing its name as “chonak”, adding that correct pronunciation matters in Goa. She said, “So pronunciations in Goa are very important. So if you are going to say anything in Goa, you have to say it right.”
During her visit, Sameera also pointed out local favourites such as small pomfret and fresh sea crabs, while admiring the passion and knowledge of the vendors. She said what she loves most about Goa is its true local vibe and the warmth of its people. “The best thing for me in Goa is the local feel and the way people are passionate. It’s really amazing.”
