To give a taste of these tantalising Italian flavours, Chef Simone Loisi, an Italian chef, is taking over Caprese — an Italian restaurant at Shangri-La Bengaluru. And they have a new set menu too!

The company enables visitors to create their own Shangri-La moments through inventive and nature-inspired decor, delectable culinary and cultural experiences, and genuine and thoughtful service.

For a brief time in the city from April 28 to May 7, 2023, Chef Simone Loisi, Chef de Cuisine at Shangri-La Singapore’s Italian restaurant, Waterfall Ristorante Italiano, will take over Caprese. The well-known Italian chef, who is from the Puglia region of Southern Italy, will make his debut in India at the Shangri-La Bengaluru, where he will present his distinctive handmade pasta dishes and family ancestral recipes.

The New Italian Menu

Chef Loisi’s takeover at Shangri-La Bengaluru will feature a menu that embodies the casual nature of genuine Southern Italian food. The Burrata Pugliese, Spaghetti Alle Vongole, Penne All Assassina, Funghi E Capesante, Linguine Allo Scoglio, Panna Cotta Con Sciroppo Di Amarene, and Crostata Al Pistachio are all included in the lunch and supper set menus. In addition to this, they will have sharing dishes like the Pollo Girarrosto Al Rosmarino E Limone and Branzino in Crosta di Sale. Moreover, the specials on the menu will feature the Calamari Scottati Su Purea Di Ceci E Rosmarino and Cavatelli Ragu Di Agnello E Porcini. Additionally, a variety of high-hydration dough pizzas made in the Romana style, including Bufalina, Verdure, and Siciliana, will be available.

According to Chef Loisi, he is very excited to visit India. Moreover, he is looking forward to sharing Puglia’s culinary culture with the diners. His hometown influenced his cooking philosophy. During this visit, he is ready to offer a new taste of Italian food to the city!
