Experience The Nawabi Era In Lucknow Palaces

The five palatial buildings of the Nawabi era, like Kothi Gulistan-e-Iram, Kothi Darshan Vilas, Chattar Manzil, Kothi Farhat Baksh, and Roshan-ud-Daula Kothi, will soon be converted into heritage hotels. All these royal structures in Lucknow were built between 1722 and 1856. This move is intended to promote tourism in this city.

If stories are to be believed, the Uttar Pradesh administration intends to operate along similar lines to Rajasthan and try to reach the success of the desert state, which has turned more than 200 historic structures into hotels. An official from the tourism department said that now these structures are under the protected category and will soon be turned into heritage hotels by shifting to the unprotected category.

Uttar Pradesh Government Brings This With An Intent To Boost Tourism

An official further stated that whereas Rajasthan only permits privately owned historical structures to be converted into hotels, the Uttar Pradesh government intends to use the public-private partnership model to do the same with government-owned historical buildings. The Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture Department, Mukesh Meshram, said that the state committee will keep a check on the private parties who will manage these heritage hotels.

These parties will not be allowed to change the facade of these structures. They will also have to put up money for the development of the structure into a heritage hotel. The process is already underway, and we are very excited about it.
