Formula 1 weekends are intense. Picture engines, drama, the whole loud, brilliant chaos. But this year, the LEGO Group is rolling in with something that steals the show before the lights even go out.
For the first time, the LEGO Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 car is landing in Abu Dhabi. It’s a beast on display that uses nearly 400,000 LEGO bricks, weighs more than some hatchbacks, and can actually hit 20 km/h. It took 26 master builders at the LEGO factory in the Czech Republic. They brought it to life, matching the size and detail of the 2024 Mercedes F1 car. If you’re a fan or a LEGO nerd, you’re probably overwhelmed with this information.
The Galleria Turns Into A Playground For Speed
From December 1st to 8th, The Galleria Al Maryah Island becomes a magnet for every kind of fan. From kids to adults, collectors, and anyone who loves the satisfying click of bricks will be found in here. You can build your own mini race car, send it flying down a ramp track, or take a spin with remote-controlled LEGO F1 racers. There’s even a reflex challenge to test how quick you really are.
At the mini exhibition, you’ll find LEGO Speed Champions, LEGO Technic builds, and sets that you want to take home with you.
The Fun Follows You To The Track
During race weekend, December 5th to 7th, the LEGO Fan Zone brings more action. Think Make and Take stations, photo ops, and the entire LEGO x F1 collection on display. Also, you can buy everything at the LEGO Pit Shop pop-up.
And the Tour Doesn’t Stop There
After the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the LEGO Mercedes-AMG F1 W15 car goes on a mini UAE tour. From the Mother of the Nation Festival in Abu Dhabi from December 10th to 24th, then off to Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates from January 5th to 18th, 2026.
This whole LEGO x Formula 1 collaboration, launched this year, celebrates engineering, creativity, and play in one go. Kids get inspired. Adults get nostalgic. And everyone gets to feel a little closer to the thrill of the sport.
