Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation launched an exclusive package for the ultimate spiritual trip to South India. ICRTC announced the package from their official Twitter handle. The tourists will explore destinations such as Kanyakumari, Rameshwaram, and more under this package.

All You Need To Know About This Rameshwaram And Kanyakumari Package

IRCTC’s package to explore the stunning spiritual destinations of South India is named ‘Southern Divine Temple Tour’. Under this package, the tourists will get to travel to mesmerising destinations such as Madurai, Rameshwaram, Kanyakumari, and Trivandrum. It is going to be a 6 days/ 5 nights trip and the mode of transportation will be by flight. The tour begins from Visakhapatnam airport on 12 August 2022 and comes to an end there itself after 6 days. The cost of the package starts at ₹32,350.

Itinerary Of The Southern Divine Temple Tour:

  • Day 1 starts in the morning by boarding the flight from Vishakhapatnam airport. Tourists will reach Madurai within a few hours and will check-in the hotel rooms. The first day will be spent in Madurai visiting the Meenakshi Amman Temple and other temples in the evening. After some travelling, tourists will end the day with dinner and stay at Madurai overnight.
  • On day 2, they will travel to Rameswaram. After checking into the hotel rooms, they will leave for Dhanushkodi. After returning back to Rameswaram, tourists will have dinner and spend the night there.
  • The first half of day 3 will be all about exploring the touristy destinations of Rameswaram. The next half is for travelling to Kanyakumari. After reaching the destinations, tourists will spend the night in Kanyakumari after enjoying a tasty dinner.

  • Day 4 will begin with witnessing the magnificent sunrise from Sunrise Point. The tourists have to travel here by their own means. After enjoying a stunning sunrise, tourists will have breakfast and leave to explore Kanyakumari and its touristy locations. Post sightseeing, they will leave for Trivandrum. After reaching there, they will check-in to hotels, have dinner, and end the day.
  • The entire day 5 is for travelling Trivandrum. Post breakfast, tourists will leave for the sightseeing. The day will end with dinner and an overnight stay in Trivandrum.
  • Day 6 marks the end of the journey. To catch the flight from Vishakhapatnam, tourists will be dropped off at the Trivandrum airport by 5 am.
