To boost tourism in this country, the Thailand government made a significant decision recently. The bars and nightclubs of some popular tourist cities can extend their opening hours.

Thailand Is Increasing The Operating Hours Of Bars And Nightclubs In Some Cities

To draw more and more travellers during the holiday season, the government said yes to increasing the operating hours of bars, nightclubs, karaoke bars, and entertainment venues. The above-mentioned establishments can open their doors for guests till 4 AM. The new decision is allowing the places to open for 2 hours more than the previously specified opening hours, according to a report by The Times of India.

There are tons of beautiful cities to explore in this foreign nation but only a few of them are massively famous among visitors from all around the world. The rule of increasing the opening hours of bars, nightclubs, and entertainment venues is applicable to these bustling cities only. The government announced the decision to extend operational hours for famous tourist destinations such as Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Phuket, and Samui, as shared by Traisulee Traisaranakul, the Government spokesperson.

Thailand Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin is making major decisions and taking measures to influence and attract tourists and boost the tourism sector. Some of the plans to boost the industry are hosting the Bangkok Marathon, the Loi Krathong Festival, music concerts, and more. The government has also lifted the mandatory visa requirements for travellers from countries such as India, China, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Taiwan. PM Srettha Thavisin stated before that all the new decisions are set to come into action on December 15, 2023.
