Ferrari Has A Restaurant In Italy With Food By A World-Famous Chef, And It’s Just As Iconic As Its Cars!

Every time we hear the name Ferrari, we imagine a powerful engine, sleek red sports cars racing down a track, or maybe even Formula 1 glory. But here’s something most people don’t know: Ferrari is also in the food business, and in the most elegant and unexpected way. Welcome to Ristorante Cavallino, a beautiful restaurant located near the company’s headquarters in Maranello, Italy.

Inside Ristorante Cavallino, Ferrari’s Restaurant In Italy

Ferrari’s entry into the world of food isn’t a recent feat. In fact, Cavallino began back in 1950, not as a fine dining space, but as a simple canteen for the workers at the Ferrari factory. It was built inside an old farmhouse Enzo Ferrari purchased when he was setting up the legendary Ferrari manufacturing hub.

Over the years, it quietly became a special place for major moments in Ferrari’s story. Formula 1 legends, royal guests, and even Enzo Ferrari himself dined here. Adding to its charm and significance, some of the sport’s most important decisions were made at its tables.

Today, Ristorante Cavallino has been transformed into a stylish and unforgettable dining destination. The team behind this transformation includes none other than Massimo Bottura, one of the world’s greatest chefs, from the world-famous restaurant Osteria Francescana in Modena (it has 3 Michelin stars!). But here, he brings something even more meaningful: a deep love for local traditions and Ferrari’s legacy.

A Menu Inspired By Ferrari Supercars

Massimo’s food at Cavallino celebrates the flavours of Emilia-Romagna, the region Ferrari calls home, but with a modern twist. The menu at Cavallino is unique, with some dishes even named after famous Ferrari cars, like the F50, LaFerrari, and Enzo.

You can try dishes like Crème Caramel al Parmigiano Reggiano (a flan made with aged Parmigiano), Tortellini del Tortellante (tortellini made by young adults with autism), Cotechino alla Rossini (a luxurious version of a sausage dish), and a lot more. And for dessert, there’s no better option than Speedform, a zabaione with marasca cherries and aged balsamic vinegar that tastes as bold as a Ferrari on a race track.

The interiors of Cavallino are just as thoughtful as the menu. The designer, India Mahdavi, made sure every space feels cosy, classy, and deeply tied to Ferrari’s roots. The restaurant walls are decorated with old photos, racing memorabilia, and even car parts.

One of the dining rooms includes the front wing of the car that Charles Leclerc drove to victory at the 2019 Italian Grand Prix!

So yes, Ferrari makes incredible cars, but now you know they also offer ace in the world of food. Whether you’re a motorsport fan or looking for something extraordinary, Ristorante Cavallino is a place worth visiting.
