Independence Day Celebration At Vikas Khanna’s Restaurant
Bringing the essence of India on Independence Day to New York, Vikas Khanna created a festive spirit in his restaurant. For this, he organised a mehendi booth just outside his restaurant, and he himself got the mehendi made on the back of his hand. Moreover, there were special Indian folk and classical dance performances. Amidst the dance performances, the dancers also hoisted the tricolours in the air.
The chef shared a video showing how the little kids were getting the mehendi done on their hands. Taking the festive spirit to another level, the kids in traditional Indian attire distributed Indian flags to the customers. Making the day even more special, the chef has launched his book called ‘Festivals at the Bungalow’. In its 54-year history, Chef Khanna became the first-ever chef to launch his book at NASDAQ.
It was beautiful to see how the Indian chef left no stone unturned to bring the Independence Day feel to New York. It was truly an unforgettable moment.
