FIR Filed Against Virat Kohli’s One8 Commune In Bengaluru & 3 Other Pubs For Running Beyond 1 AM

The Virat Kohli-backed One8 Commune in Bengaluru is under the water for operating beyond the permissible time limit. Apart from One8 Commune located on MG Road, Bengaluru Police has lodged an FIR on four other pubs on MG Road. Read on to learn more about this development in the Bengaluru pub scene.

Bengaluru Police Cracks Down On One8 Commune

On Tuesday, the Bengaluru Police registered an FIR against the manager of One8 Commune. The police stated that the pub served customers till 1:30 am. This is beyond the permissible time limit of 1 PM. As per a report by Deccan Herald, the DCP Central stated that they had booked 3 to 4 pubs for running till 1:30 AM last night (Monday night).

The police stated that they received complaints of loud music being played. Moreover, pubs are allowed to stay open only till 1 am in Bengaluru and not beyond that. A report by Economic Times informs that a sub-inspector on night patrol was informed about the pub operating late at night. On arriving at the pub at 1:20 AM, he confirmed that it continued to serve customers. As a result, an FIR was lodged against it.

3 Other Pubs Also Under The Scanner For Serving Customers Beyond 1 AM

Apart from the Virat Kohli-backed pub, the Bengaluru Police also took legal action against three other pubs in the vicinity for similar violations. This crackdown reflects the efforts of the police and authorities to crack down on noise levels and enforce strict regulations on operating hours.

With outlets in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Pune, One8 Commune is a popular restaurant featuring some of Virat Kohli’s favourite vegetarian dishes. The Bengaluru outlet opened its doors to the public last year.
