Fire Breaks At AIIMS Delhi!
Today, a fire started in the AIIMS Delhi endoscopy unit, which is next to the emergency ward. The fire was put out after eight fire tenders were dispatched to the area. Following a fire call from the emergency ward at 11:54 pm, all patients and personnel in the area were safely evacuated.
An NDTV report stated that the fire was put out. The Director also arrived to assess the situation. The report further pointed out that the Old Outpatient Department’s (OPD) second level is where the endoscopy room is situated. And, the Old Raj Kumari OPD Building’s second level was where the fire started. Firefighters were able to stop it, but the search is still continuing, as stated by the Fire Department.

Similar Incidents Happened In June
This isn’t the first time when AIIMS Delhi witnessed a fire emergency. In June 2021, on Monday morning, a fire started in the emergency room of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi. The Delhi Fire Department stated that firefighting operations started shortly after the event was reported and that the flame had been put out and no casualties or property damage was reported.
Prior to that, on June 17, a fire was reported on the hospital’s ninth floor, and it took up to 26 fire engines approximately two hours to put it out. There were no casualties or injuries in the occurrence either.
According to the fire service, a call about the incident was received at around 10.30 pm, and 22 fire tenders immediately arrived at the scene. Operations to put out the fire are in progress, although its origin has not yet been determined.
