Mumbaikars, the wait is finally over! Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (MMRCL) shared the first look of the Siddhivinayak and Dadar Metro Stations on the Mumbai Metro Aqua Line (Line 3), one of the city’s most anticipated infrastructure projects. A few days ago, they also shared the first look of the Dharavi Station.
Mumbai Metro’s Siddhivinayak Station Unveiled
Siddhivinayak Metro Station, part of Mumbai Metro’s Aqua Line has been unveiled. MMRCL took to X (formerly Twitter) to share pictures of the highly-anticipated project. With impressive interiors, the first photos of the station highlight modern amenities such as escalators, spacious ticket counters, sleek design elements, and enhanced commuter facilities.
The station is located just steps away from the revered Siddhivinayak Temple. It has been thoughtfully constructed to navigate the tight urban space and heavy foot traffic in the area, all the while maintaining the sanctity of the place.
The Mumbai Metro Line 3 (Aqua Line) has 10 stations in its first phase. It will connect BKC with Aarey Colony JVLR. The stations on this line, so far, are BKC, Bandra Colony, Santacruz, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) T1, Sahar Road, CSMIA T2, Marol Naka, Andheri, SEEPZ, and Aarey Colony JVLR. It is one of the initial underground metro lines of Mumbai, with nine of the 10 stations being underground.
