This regional airline is gearing up to launch flights between Dehradun, Pantnagar, and Pithoragarh and restart services on this route. Previously, there were flights operating between these three places in Uttarakhand but the services came to a halt after some time. And now after a long stop to the operations, FlyBig flights are all set to fly on this route.
All You Need To Know About FlyBig Restarting Air Connectivity Between Different Cities Of Uttarakhand
This regional airline is going to run flights connecting Dehradun, Pantnagar, and Pithoragarh, according to a report by The Times of India. Sumit Saxena is the Director of the Pantnagar airport and he stated that this new relaunching of FlyBig flights will fall under the Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN) scheme. Coming under the regional scheme, the journeys will be a major help for everyone as the tickets are going to be quite pocket-friendly. Also, the time taken to travel between these places in Uttarakhand is reducing as well. With more options for travelling, passengers can make their plans conveniently for a smooth experience.

As reported by TOI, Sumit Saxena further added that FlyBig has developed a site office at the domestic Pantnagar airport. This is a great step taken to ensure better services and facilities.
Why Did Flight Services Stop On This Route?

Heritage Aviation initiated flights connecting Dehradun, Pantnagar, and Pithoragarh back in the year 2018. Just like FlyBig, this was also coming under the regional flight scheme. After operating for a very short span, Heritage Aviation had to stop its services. A terrible accident occurred with a flight while flying to Pithoragarh from Pantnagar. The doors of the flight opened mid-air. Fortunately, the pilot handled the situation well and landed the aircraft safely.
