It’s no secret that United Kingdom flights have been affected due to a technical snag that affected the flight planning and processing system. As a result, flights to and from airports, like those in London and Manchester may be experiencing some delays. And so, UAE-based airlines have advised passengers to check the latest flight information, as there might be possible delays. Here’s more about this flight-related development.

Recently, Etihad Airways and Emirates airline notified their passengers travelling to and from the UK that flights might face some delays due to air traffic control issues. According to a report by the National News, it was mentioned that the air traffic control in the UK had earlier been hit by a technical fault. As a result, several flights had been affected, including those going in and out of the country. So, traffic flow restrictions had been applied for safety reasons. The National Air Traffic Service on Monday, August 28 revealed that it had identified and solved the technical issue. At this point, it’s worth mentioning that the system’s ability to automatically process flight plans had been affected. Thereby, they had to be processed manually, which is not possible to complete at the same volume.

The report revealed Etihad Airways had mentioned that all their flights had been operating as per the schedule. However, there may be some delays and soon it will return to normal. So those who are travelling to and from the airports of London and Manchester might face some delays due to the ongoing flight data processing system. Furthermore, the airline advised passengers to check their website for the latest flight information. In the same breath, Emirates Airlines also said that even though the problem had been fixed, passengers might have to face some disruptions. This means flights on the way to the United Kingdom will be allowed to land their flights, but those departing from the country may experience some delay.
