Ministry of Health & Prevention recently released its revised vaccination guidelines for Hajj Pilgrims. Yes, according to a report by the Khaleej Times, it was mentioned that travellers have been asked to get flu jabs and other mandatory vaccinations. Yes, these vaccines must be taken at least 15 days before departure. As such, it extends the previous recommendation of 10 days.

The Vaccines Have Days Have Been Extended

It should be noted that pilgrims must also ensure that they are registered on the international vaccination card by accredited health centres. Additionally, they must follow all instructions and precautions before and during the travel to ensure that they are in the best of their health. In case you’re wondering about the vaccinations that you should be taking, this includes the flu jab. Yes, they must also take the meningococcal vaccine! In fact, the pneumococcal vaccine has also been advised for travellers above the age of 65 years or those who have chronic diseases.

It’s worth mentioning that apart from taking jabs, pilgrims must also take a sufficient supply of prescribed medication for the trip.
