Recently, a video of a USA celebrity baker with his sister went viral all over the internet, where they baked a cake in the middle of the ocean, leaving netizens shocked. USA-based celebrity baker Justin Ellen (@everythingjustbaked) often posts about delicious bakery recipes, perfect to satisfy our sweet cravings. Recently, one of his videos caught the internet’s attention where he, along with his sister, was sitting on a surfboard, in the middle of the ocean. What surprised everyone the most was that the duo were preparing a cake.
He posted the video with the caption, “Baking Cakes in the Ocean with my old and mouldy sister. To be fair, I actually think we did a solid job. Where should we bake next? Summers over, so no more ocean.” The video begins with the baker’s sister trying to clean the bowl with ocean water. After ensuring the bowl was properly clean, Justin Ellen added a cup of sugar and salted butter to the bowl.
They mixed it properly and then added two room-temperature eggs. His sister used a whisk to whip the mixture, and once it became creamy and light, they added homemade vanilla bean paste. After that, they added the right amount of flour and buttermilk. Instead of baking the cake in an oven, the baker jokingly said that you can let it sit in the sunlight, and it will bake perfectly as well. He actually recommends baking the cake at 350 degrees F for around 25 minutes. For the final step, they added frosting and seashells to decorate the cake.
