Chef Kuv Brings His Secret Supper Club To Sobremesa For A One-Night Dinner In Downtown Dubai

Dubai’s supper club crowd has something new lined up for the Eid break. And this one feels less like a formal chef event and more like the kind of dinner where everyone somehow ends up talking across tables by the end of the night. Sobremesa has announced a new dinner series called Sobremesa Y Amigos, kicking things off with a one-night dinner between Chef Marco Ferreyra and Kuv Sharma.

The event is happening on May 28 from 8 pm at the restaurant’s space inside Souk Al Bahar. Seats are limited, which usually means people will either book immediately or regret waiting three days.

The whole idea behind the evening seems to be centred around sharing. Shared food, shared drinks, shared conversations. Basically, the opposite of stiff fine dining, where everyone whispers over tiny plates.

Not Your Average Sit-Down Dinner! 

Chef Kuv, who started Kuv’s Secret Supper Club back in 2017, has built a reputation in the UAE for dinners that feel personal and slightly unpredictable in a good way. His events usually mix food with storytelling, music and social interaction rather than focusing only on what’s on the plate.

But this time, he’s teaming up with Sobremesa’s Chef Marco Ferreyra to create something inspired by big Mexican-style communal meals.

The Menu Looks Heavy On Bold Comfort Food

The menu itself leans into dishes designed for sharing rather than individual courses.

Guests can expect things like Pátzcuaro-style fried bait fish, Carne Asada, Pulpo Tres Formas and Pollo Asado spread across the evening. Desserts include Sobremesa’s Tres Leches alongside churros with a spicy twist.

Also, four cocktails are included in the AED 350 package, which honestly makes the whole thing sound even more social than structured.

The drinks are inspired by Mexican flavours too, with ingredients like hibiscus, chamoy and tropical agua frescas showing up throughout the menu.

The Focus Is More On Atmosphere Than Formality

For many people, supper clubs work because they don’t feel overly polished. That seems to be the direction here, too.

Sobremesa says the evening has been designed as a lively communal dinner rather than a traditional tasting menu experience. The idea is less about silent appreciation and more about energy, conversation and people staying longer than planned.
