Inspired by Shenzhen’s reputation as a technology and innovation hub, the Shenzhen Chocolate Museum brings together futuristic creations and art, all recreated in chocolate. Visitors can spot everything from humanoid robots, rockets and drones to other technology-inspired sculptures. According to Lifestyle Asia Hong Kong, the museum also features familiar cultural icons, including a chocolate recreation of the Mona Lisa. Yes, one of the world’s most recognisable paintings has been transformed into a rather sweet work of art!
What makes the museum particularly unusual is its combination of technology, art and chocolate. Rather than simply showcasing chocolate as a food, the exhibition uses 10 tonnes of chocolate as a material to create intricate sculptures and recreate objects that would typically be made from metal, stone or paint.
