Hidden Beach In Malibu Opens To The Public After 40 Years

According to a report by The Guardian, Escondido Beach in Malibu was cut off from the public in the 1980s. The story goes that this beach rightly named Escondido actually translates to “hidden” in Spanish. For 40 years, the beach had no access to two properties obstructing its pathway along the 27900 block of Pacific Coast Highway. The former chief executive of MGM and Paramount Pictures, Frank Mancuso Sr and the Wildman Family Trust are currently the owners of the properties around the beach.
