From AED600 To Black Points; Hefty Fines For Road Entry Violations In Abu Dhabi

Road safety is paramount for drivers and for this purpose, the Abu Dhabi Police is constantly making sure that people know about the rule. And so, recently Abu Dhabi police used 3D CGI, which is computer-generated imagery technology to educate and remind motorists about important safety practices. With the help of technology, the police aim to reduce accidents and ensure smoother traffic flow.

Abu Dhabi Police Educates Motorists On Traffic Rules

It was recently revealed by the Khaleej Times that the Abu Dhabi Police used 3-D CGI technology to educate motorists. With the help of this technology, the aim is to reduce accidents on the road. During the session, Abu Dhabi Police outlined five essential rules that drivers should follow. Here is a look at these rules –

Slowdown when approaching the road entrance
Motorists have been urged to slow down, as they can get time to assess the situation and react to any enforcing circumstances that might occur.
Use side warning signals
Motorists have been asked to use turn signals in order to communicate their intentions to other road users. This practice not only helps in preventing misunderstandings but also collisions
Vehicles on main road have right of the way
Vehicles on the main road have the right of the way and if the motor fails to give them a priority, it can lead to dangerous situations.
Cautious of parked vehicles
If there is a vehicle ahead of the motorist or parked near the road entrance, they must slow down. This is important as parked vehicles can obscure the view, which makes it difficult to see the oncoming traffic or even pedestrians.
Ensure road is clear
Before entering the road, one must double-check to ensure that it’s free of any approaching vehicles.

However, it’s also important to mention that if the drivers fail to follow any of the aforementioned traffic rules they will be penalised. Yes, these fines will be according to the UAE laws and they are as follows –

If they enter the road without making sure it’s clear they will be liable to pay AED400 and 4 black points will be given.

While if they enter the road dangerously, they will be given 6 black points and will be liable to pay AED600. It’s worth mentioning that the CGI video was posted by the Abu Dhabi Police HQ on their official account on X.

If you also drive in Abu Dhabi, then you must keep these rules in mind for a safer journey not just for yourself but for others as well!
